About the project with EcoSki
IT Craft designed and developed both the marketing website and a custom web application for EcoSki using WordPress, Laravel, AWS, and Mapbox. The team implemented custom algorithms for satellite-based snow analysis and built cloud workflows to ensure fast and accurate data processing.
The platform allows ski resorts to track snow coverage in real time, process satellite data via AWS, and visualize terrain-specific snow depth with high accuracy. It supports grid rebuilding, smoothing, and other pre-processing before analysis.
Initially, the client required a clean, informative website to launch their new innovative venture. The project expanded later, and they were looking to create a SaaS application, which would be able to process satellite data, give real-time insights, and enable eco-conscious decisions for ski operations.
The aim was the building of a horizontally scalable, cloud-processed, web application, which would interpret imagery from satellites, perform interactive geospatial visualization, yet be practical, multi-faceted, yet accurate at the same time.
