Streaming Radio Station Beats 1 Launched by Apple

Apple Inc. has launched their new streaming service Apple Music, which includes among other features the Internet radio station Beats 1 that broadcasts the most fashionable music to more than 100 countries non-stop.

According to Tim Cook’s statement, Beats 1 radio has already been chosen by millions of users. With Beats 1 radio station, Apple offers exclusive content such as shows and music selected manually by popular artists such as Dr. Dre, Jaden Smith, Elton John, and others. Moreover, Beats 1 provides Connect, the blog platform which allows celebrities to share their media content with fans and receive feedback. In return, Apple pays higher per-play rates than other streaming services like Pandora or Spotify.

The manager of the brand new station is Zane Lowe, a London-based DJ who previously worked at the BBC. Currently, Beats 1 is broadcasted from three studios in New York, Los Angeles, and London. However, Apple is supposed to launch new stations to cover the Pacific Ocean area and Asia.

Now, access to Apple Music is only allowed for Apple users with valid IDs but Apple Music for Android is expected to be released this fall.
